The ν2 (CD3 symmetrical deformation) and ν5 (CD3 degenerate deformation) fundamental bands of CD3Br were studied by 9.4- and 10.4-μm CO2 laser Stark spectroscopy. Stark resonances originating from 28 and 53 rovibrational transitions of the ν2 and ν5 bands, respectively, were assigned for each of the isotopic species, CD379Br and CD381Br. These two bands were simultaneously analyzed with explicit inclusion of the ν2-ν5 Coriolis interaction, yielding precise molecular constants in the ν2 and ν5 excited states as well as the Coriolis coupling constant. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is considered to cause various inflammatory reactions. We searched among microbial secondary metabolites for compounds that could inhibit LPS-stimulated adhesion between human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) and human myelocytic cell line HL-60 cells. In the course of our screening, we isolated a novel cyclic depsipeptide, which we named heptadepsin, from the whole culture broth of Paenibacillus sp. The addition of heptadepsin prior to LPS stimulation decreased HL-60 cell-HUVEC adhesion without showing any cytotoxicity. It also inhibited the cellular adhesion induced by lipid A, the active component of LPS, but it did not inhibit TNF-alpha or IL-1beta-induced cell adhesion. The result of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) analysis revealed that heptadepsin interacted with lipid A directly. Thus, heptadepsin, a novel naturally occurring cyclic heptadepsipeptide, was shown to inactivate LPS by direct interaction with LPS.  相似文献

We demonstrate band gap control of CdTe nanocrystals by selective surface modification using alkanethiol molecules. Both absorption and emission wavelengths can be tuned simply by mixing a dispersion of the nanocrystals with alkanethiol at room temperature, resulting in blue shifts in the optical spectra during reaction. The degree of blue shift depends on both the concentration of alkanethiols and the reaction time, thereby providing kinetic control over the emission peak wavelength of the nanocrystals in mild conditions. The observed spectral changes are suggested to be caused by a decrease in the size of the CdTe core through formation of CdTe1-x(SC10)x shells because of specific exchange of Te with alkanethiolates. The results reported herein provide a new band gap engineering scheme for semiconductor nanocrystals and offer opportunities for the design of ligand-stabilized semiconductor nanocrystals with tunable composition and optical properties.  相似文献

For the living ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) of epoxy monomers, the catalytic activity of organic superbases, tert‐butylimino‐tris(dimethylamino)phosphorane, 1‐tert‐butyl‐2,2,4,4,4‐pentakis(dimethylamino)‐2Λ5,4Λ5‐catenadi(phosphazene), 2,8,9‐triisobutyl‐2,5,8,9‐tetraaza‐1‐phosphabicyclo[3.3.3]undecane, and 1‐tert‐butyl‐4,4,4‐tris(dimethylamino)‐2,2‐bis[tris(dimethylamino)phosphoranylidenamino]‐2Λ5,4Λ5‐catenadi(phosphazene) (t‐Bu‐P4), was confirmed. Among these superbases, only t‐Bu‐P4 showed catalytic activity for the ROP of 1,2‐butylene oxide (BO) to afford poly(1,2‐butylene oxide) (PBO) with predicted molecular weight and narrow molecular weight distribution. The results of the kinetic, post‐polymerization experiments, and MALDI‐TOF MS measurement revealed that the t‐Bu‐P4‐catalyzed ROP of BO proceeded in a living manner in which the alcohol acted as the initiator. This alcohol/t‐Bu‐P4 system was applicable to the glycidol derivatives, such as benzyl glycidyl ether (BnGE) and t‐butyl glycidyl ether, to afford well‐defined protected polyglycidols. The α‐functionalized polyethers could be obtained using different functionalized initiators, such as 4‐vinylbenzyl alcohol, 5‐hexen‐1‐ol, and 6‐azide‐1‐hexanol. In addition, the well‐defined cyclic‐PBO and PBnGE were successfully synthesized using the combination of t‐Bu‐P4‐catalyzed ROP and click cyclization. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A hydrogel‐based microchamber with organic electrodes for efficient electrical stimulations of human induced pluripotent stem cell‐derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC‐CMs) is described. The microchamber is made from molecularly permeable, optically transparent, and electrically conductive polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) hydrogel and highly capacitive carbon electrode modified with poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT). Spheroids of hiPSC‐CMs are cultured in microchambers, and electrically stimulated by the electrode for maturation. The large interfacial capacitance of the electrodes enables several days of electrical stimulation without generation of cytotoxic bubbles even when the electrodes are placed near the spheroids. The spheroids can be cultivated in the closed microchambers because of the permeated nutrients through the hydrogel, thus the spheroids are stably addressable and the culture medium around the sealed microchambers can be simply exchanged. Synchronized beating of the spheroids can be optically analyzed in situ, which makes it possible to selectively collect electrically responsive cells for further use. As the hydrogel is electrically conductive, the amount of electrical charge needed for maturing the spheroids can be reduced by configuring electrodes on the top and the bottom of the microchamber. The bioreactor will be useful for efficient production of matured hiPSC‐CMs for regenerative medicine and drug screening.  相似文献

A preconcentration method by adsorption of cadmium on a niobium wire was developed for the environmental waters, followed by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry with a tungsten tube atomizer. After the preconcentration, the niobium wire was directly inserted into the tungsten tube atomizer. In the preconcentration (adsorption) process of cadmium, the optimal immersing time was 60?s. The effects of large amounts of concomitants on the preconcentration of cadmium were evaluated. When 103–104 fold excess of matrix elements existed in aqueous solution at pH 4 and 9, the cadmium response was profoundly affected by the matrix elements. However, the cadmium absorption signal was not significantly influenced at pH 7. Therefore, pH 7 was selected for the application into the real environmental samples. Under the optimal conditions, the detection limit (3S/N) for cadmium by the niobium wire preconcentration method was 7.0?pg?mL?1 and the relative standard deviation was 6.8%. The method with preconcentration on a niobium wire was applied to the determination of cadmium in water and proved to be sensitive, simple and convenient. Because this preconcentration method can be utilized in the in situ treatment of trace cadmium in environmental water samples, it was unnecessary to carry the water samples to the analytical work place. The technique was shown to be useful for the determination of cadmium in environmental water samples at 0.1–1?µg?L?1 levels.  相似文献

A new H-bonded crystal [RuIII(Him)3(Im)3] with three imidazole (Him) and three imidazolate (Im) groups was prepared to obtain a higher-temperature proton conductor than a Nafion membrane with water driving. The crystal is constructed by complementary N−H⋅⋅⋅N H-bonds between the RuIII complexes and has a rare Icy-c* cubic network topology with a twofold interpenetration without crystal anisotropy. The crystals show a proton conductivity of 3.08×10−5 S cm−1 at 450 K and a faster conductivity than those formed by only HIms. The high proton conductivity is attributed to not only molecular rotations and hopping motions of HIm frameworks that are activated at ∼113 K, but also isotropic whole-molecule rotation of [RuIII(Him)3(Im)3] at temperatures greater than 420 K. The latter rotation was confirmed by solid-state 2H NMR spectroscopy; probable proton conduction routes were predicted and theoretically considered.  相似文献

This report describes that a regular positive electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (MS) analysis of terpendoles often causes unexpected oxygen additions to form [M + H + O]+ and [M + H + 2O]+, which might be a troublesome in the characterization of new natural analogues. The intensities of [M + H + O]+ and [M + H + 2O]+ among terpendoles were unpredictable and fluctuated largely. Simple electrochemical oxidation in electrospray ionization was insufficient to explain the phenomenon. So we studied factors to form [M + H + O]+ and [M + H + 2O]+ using terpendole E and natural terpendoles together with some model indole alkaloids. Similar oxygen addition was observed for 1,2,3,4‐tetrahydrocyclopent[b]indole, which is corresponding to the substructure of terpendole E. In tandem MS experiments, a major fragment ion at m/z 130 from protonated terpendole E was assigned to the substructure containing indole. When the [M + H + O]+ was selected as a precursor ion, the ion shifted to m/z 146. The same 16 Da shift of fragments was also observed for 1,2,3,4‐tetrahydrocyclopent[b]indole, indicating that the oxygen addition of terpendole E took place at the indole portion. However, the oxygen addition was absent for some terpendoles, even whose structure resembles terpendole E. The breakdown curves characterized the tandem MS features of terpendoles. Preferential dissociation into m/z 130 suggested the protonation tendency at the indole site. Terpendoles that are preferentially protonated at indole tend to form oxygen addition peaks, suggesting that the protonation feature contributes to the oxygen additions in some degrees. © 2014 The Authors.
